Best golf tip I ever received..?

Posted by admin

The slice is obviously the most undesired yet most common ball flight in golf.. I got a tip from my coach who is rated one of the top 100 teachers in the world…This info is priceless…Do this experiment.. find a place in your home that has a window you can look out of, stand about 10 or so feet behind it.. Set a golf ball down inline with a spot on the window… Pick a target outside of the window in the distance as well…Notice what happens when you move to the left as if you were going to address the golf ball. The close target(window) moves right, while the target in the distance moves left…The perspective of the target changes when you address the ball..This is a trick your eyes play on you.. To hit the ball to your close target, you have to swing onplane and from the inside.. What I’ve noticed is that a straight shot looks like a big arcing draw from standing to the side of the ball. It’s about trusting your alignment to the close target and hitting it through there..
i’ll take that as a compliment Cena, thanks…
This is not only meant for slicers…Advance players have this problem including myself..I’m a +3 handicap and this tip straightened out all facets of my game…Driving it better, my irons have improved dramatically, and my wedge game is more precise..Good for lag putting as well….Best of luck

I cannot wait to share this tip with all of the golfers in my life. Thanks!

need help with golf swing?

Posted by admin

The most biggest flaw i have in my golf swing are my lower body movement. It seems that when i swing, my hips point outward to the left and i can’t get my weight to fully transfer. I try to rotate my hips (as like your doing washing machine exercises), but when my friend took a vid of my swing, i can obviously see that my hips still point out. I tried to fix it and ended up swaying, which caused me to always hit behind the ball. I need tips with my lower body, they’re a mess. Can anyone help? Please and thx.

Advise on here is like peanuts in a can….they are all different……If you truely want to correct swing flaws….take a lesson or 2 from a teaching pro. Even Tiger has a swing coach….why not you?

Tips advice

When you practice, have your mother-in-law, run around naked in front of you.—You may miss the ball, but you damn sure won’t risk going blind by looking up.

I have developed a nasty problem in my golf swing. I am right handed, and I roll my right wrist as I swing, which causes the ball to hook, and give up distance. Are there any tips or drills I can do to stop this?

A larger diameter grip will negate that tendency.
You can also move your right hand a little more on top, to the left, as you grip the club. Do it in small doses so you don’t over-correct what your trying to fix.

Taking a divot with swing in golf?

Posted by admin

Does anyone have any tips or suggestions to get a perfect hit and take a divot with the ball when I swing? I have tried and tried but I can’t get it right.

Don’t you think that an investment in a few basic lessons might help develop a repeatable golf swing? There is no rule that says a great golf shot requires a divot.

It would be great if i can get a few tips with my golf swing to… I keep Slicing the shit out of it

You can estimate your club head speed with the following calculation: 2.3yds/mph. This is based strickly on air time and not roll. So if you hit the ball 250 yards in the air, you can estimate 250/2.3 = 108.7mph.

For the slice, I would suggest slowing it down a little. You will lose distance, but you will gain control. Once you have the accuracy with consitency, then add the speed.

Some tips to let my golf swing look professional and lower my score…

Analyse your game. Where are those extra shots coming from?
Are most greens 2 putts and no more?
That final approach shot (within 170 yards) is the most important to make the hole relaxed.
Are your fairway and tee shots straight? – or do you spend extra time getting out of the rough?
In other words, I agree on working on your short game, while making sure your tee shots are straight

I just started learning how to swing a golf club about a week ago. For a first-timer, I made pretty good contact; however, my shots are consistently going right. While a couple of them were slices, most of them shot to the right immediately after impact. My brother-in-law, who is teaching me, is a decent golfer, and he thinks the problem is that my wrists are turning over around the middle of my body instead of toward my front leg, so I’m pulling up out of my shot too soon (my wrists aren’t in front of the club head). We tried a bunch of different stuff to try to straighten my shot out, but to no avail. So does anybody have any simple, practical tips for me to either practice or think about while I’m swinging? My backswing is fine right now. It’s just when I’m finishing my actual swing that stuff is getting screwed up. Help!

If you’re right-handed & your shots are going right, that means your clubface is open at contact.
Assuming your backswing is fine, I would try closing the face of the club a bit when you address the ball.

Also, when you finish your swing, your chest ought to be facing your target.

Since you’re a beginner, I’d suggest heading to the driving range and practicing these tips.
