The most biggest flaw i have in my golf swing are my lower body movement. It seems that when i swing, my hips point outward to the left and i can’t get my weight to fully transfer. I try to rotate my hips (as like your doing washing machine exercises), but when my friend took a vid of my swing, i can obviously see that my hips still point out. I tried to fix it and ended up swaying, which caused me to always hit behind the ball. I need tips with my lower body, they’re a mess. Can anyone help? Please and thx.
Advise on here is like peanuts in a can….they are all different……If you truely want to correct swing flaws….take a lesson or 2 from a teaching pro. Even Tiger has a swing coach….why not you?
ok i will be in high school next year and i really want to be on one of these two teams, can anybody give me some advice on which one to try out for or what to do to get on one of the teams? Anything is helpful, thanks!
dance team. I am on the dance team at my high school and I love it. It is so much fun and the people on my team are amazingly supportive.
I am a 26 year old man who works out heavily, every day. Yet, I can only drive about 225-250 feet. What can I do to improve my distance? Please include tips on grip and technique. I am getting a bit frustrated. I am throwing a Valkyrie and Wraith with little success.
The best way to get a professional calibre drive is to learn from a pro. At least seeing a top competitor will give you ideas you can mimic or assimilate for your own. If you don’t know any pros in your area, get online and buy a recent dvd. You’ll catch alot of different shots and ideas! Without video of your drive, fixing it will be virtually impossible. Disc golf comes from you and you alone. Go grasshopper, learn and huck.
if i put a video of my swing up will any one analyze it for me plz…
Yeah, post it up….I’ve been waiting for someone to do this for three years now.
Get an angle from the back (down the target line) and then one from straight on facing you.
Post what club you’re using and what your ball flight is looking like…
Looking to buy a golf glove for my dad for Christmas, and I know he is left handed, so was wondering which hand would I have to buy the golf glove for?
Is it usually the top (proper dominant hand) while swinging? So would that make it be the right hand?
Any advice would be appreciated.
Thanks in advance.
It’s the right hand, if he uses left handed golf clubs. Some people that are left handed actually use right handed clubs, because they learned the game with someones hand me down clubs that was right handed. So double check that, but assuming he plays with lefty clubs, he needs a right hand glove. and its a great present for a golfer. A nice new glove is always welcome!
I’m thinking of taking lessons there, what’cha think? Worth it? Do they really help your game?
Lessons always help.
Provided the teacher knows the subject of what he teaches.
Usually golf pro’s anywhere know thier stuff. the key is if they know how to get that information across to you.
Take a single lesson, see if you like the pro and if it helps you, otherwise go find another pro.
Tips advice
When you practice, have your mother-in-law, run around naked in front of you.—You may miss the ball, but you damn sure won’t risk going blind by looking up.
I’ve got some pretty important regional golf finals tomorrow and any help for dealing with first tee nerves would help me no end,
they don’t have to be related to golf/other sports.
Thankyou
Breathe deeply and slowly in through the nose and out through the mouth. Don’t overdo it so that you don’t hyperventilate. 4 or 5 good deep breaths while you are waiting for the tee should do then one or two while setting up your shot and one more at address.
Concentrate on the breathing. Notice everything you can about it. If you’re thinking about the breathing you won’t be thinking about all the stuff going on around you. Stand behind your ball and form a picture in your mind of the shot you intend to make. . Picture the ball flight and picture the ball landing.
Approach the teed up ball, go through your routine and remember to swing smoothly.
My karate instructor told me to take a deep breath before striking a blow and to explode my breath out when I was delivering a blow. Use that technique during your swing.
I am trying to figure out which golf lesson I should approach. The traditional method of going to a PGA pro and learning or the GolfTec lesson with video.
I want to make the most out of my lessons and want to make sure I am getting my money’s worth given, it’s a small mortgage to get one done.
I have read many books, including Hogans 5 lessons, I am just trying to see if a pro will be able to be as sufficient as a video lesson. One thing I did enjoy about the video lesson is the ability to see myself in slow motion.
Go to the pro. He can see the mistakes you are making.

Anyone know of a website that gives tips and advice on how to play all 18 holes of different golf courses?
I like to play different courses but I would like some advice and a little knowledge of how different holes play before I play them. I play alot in Inland Empire and San Diego county. Thanks.
Well, what I normally do is just google search to find the course’s website. Then on the website the courses will usually have a copy of their scorecard which has your distances. Then many websites have like a photo gallery or a virtual tour type deal where you can actually see the course. Or at golfonline.com you can find out about a course and search for them too. They have pretty much every course on their.
